8 meses ya!!!! (Semana 35)

Well it has been 8 months since I hopped on a plane and came to Mexico and I have loved every bit of it!!
This week has had its ups and its downs, but all in all it's been such a great week of work!
So the hard parts of this week: We are teaching this cool dude Omar and he has been doing really great and has been trying to change his life but is having difficulties. We have been helping him try to stop drinking and he has been doing good but had a few problems last week so we had to postpone his baptism. We are trying to help him this week so we will see how it goes.  We also had to postpone the baptism of Oswaldo until the 12 of May because he had to go out of town so that is sad but we are working hard with him too!!
This week was also a long week because we had to walk so so much...mostly because we didn't have money for the buses haha. So yeah like 10 miles everyday!

The good parts of the week: We started teaching this dude named Richie, he is a friend of some members here and on Sunday he told us he wants to get baptized soon. Super awesome dude!!! I'll keep you updated on him! We also have been finding a bunch a families to teach and we are just working hard here!!!
We had a pretty awesome week but honestly it flew by and I just cant remember what happened...I promise I'll write more next week mom!!

In my studies this week I came across a few dope things that I hope might help y'all. This one talk I came across was talking about success and leadership and stuff like that and I loved a quote that says "God didn't send us here to fail". We are here to learn. To get better. To keep trying. To do our best.
so yeah I'll share mas next week but I got to go!!

como les vas? (semana 34)

I'm dead every night jaja
How's everyone been doing???
I'm doing pretty great out here in the good ole city of Monterrey!!
This week we have been working super super hard and it has been fun as usual!! Nothing too crazy has happened since the last time I wrote and I hope everyone has been doing swell!
We have been teaching a bunch of people and running all around our area to find them but it has been paying off. We have been teaching this one dude Omar. He is super cool and boxes and has a really big desire to follow Christ and be baptized. Right now we are helping him to quit smoking and drinking. He is trying his best to stop and we are helping him along the way!
We also had the baptismal interview for Osvaldo this week and he is ready to be baptized on 5 de mayo!! He is so ready and is inviting everyone he knows! We also had a super awesome past 2 days full of milagros. On Saturday we were working hard and had a dope lesson with this one girl Alondra who said that we helped here out so much. We then got a call to go help this one dude out in a service project. We went to go help mix cement and  help him build onto his house, that was super fun but best part is that we got to teach a dude because of that!  Then yesterday we had a super awesome experience. We found a family of 5 that is really excited to listen to us and they really want to go to church with us next week!!
Well that's all I got time for!! Hope all is well!!

(also sorry about the english, its kinda hurting my head to write and think in english now jaja)
have a great week guys!!

Templo!! (Semana 33)

Well how’s everyone doing?? It's a little late...as in 2 days late (sorry mom) but I am still grinding out here with my dude Elder Perez. We have been teaching a bunch of people and have been running around in between lessons and it has been fun!
Ok so it's been a long time since I wrote last and I can't really remember what we've done so I'll try to give some of the highlights.
1. This week we have found a bunch of really, really interesting and crazy people. I won't go into too many details but we were therapists for like 2 days with these people and they wanted us to help fix their problems but we had no way to help so we just said a few words of encouragement and invited them to pray. To give you an idea of how crazy these experiences were, 2 people asked us about their relationship problems and another dude that was stabbed in the eye by a fork asked us what he should do to the other person that stabbed him...so yeah that was cool....
2. We were having a rough day on Saturday and we were walking around and we decided to say a prayer to help us. Right after we said "amen" we started walking and this guy outside his house was making carne asada and watching the Tigres games and when he saw us he was like "hey y'all just got here at the perfect time!" He then gave us carne asada as he watched the game and we then taught him a bit! It was super awesome....then later that night we got another call from a dope familia en the area that invited us to their house to pick up some dinner hahah. Moral of the story-prayers work!! (especially for carne asada)
3. We went to the temple this morning and it was so amazing!!  I got to see some friends and take awesome pictures and the Spirit was so strong
4. We are also planning on the baptism of Oswaldo this next coming week!! He is such a cool dude and he is so ready!! We had an awesome Family Home Evening last night with him and the familia Treviño (and amazing crepes!!) and it was so cool!
Well these were just a few of the things I've done this week and I am sorry I can't remember more but I got to go!!

en la vida y en la capilla (Semana 32)

Que Tal!!!! Como les va??
Well this week was a pretty awesome week and we have been grinding out here in Santa Rosa!!!
I don't have a lot of time but I'll try to explain this week as quickly as posible.
This week we started off with intercambios and I went with elder Rax to Ebanos for the day and we put in work and had a great time! Rax is a dope dude from Guatemala and has about the same amount of months as me in the mission. We also celebrated my comp elder Perez's 23rd month in the mission with donuts!! We then went back to the grind and worked a bunch to find and teach new people. I actually have a terrible memory so I don't remember exactly what we did this week but I just know that I am having a great time and exhausted because that is how the mission is!!! Fun and tiring!!
So we have been really focusing on the investigadores that we have and it has been fun!! Omar is a dope 19 yr old dude that we have been teaching these past 2 weeks! He is pretty cool and plays soccer and boxes. He is planning to be baptized later this month and is really excited!! We also have been teaching Oswaldo. He is super excited for his baptism and is trying his best everyday to change his life and follow Jesucrist!! We also are teaching Yahida and Jorge and their kids. They are pretty cool and went to church with us this last week! We also helped them paint their house and move one of their friends in next door, and we are now teaching them too!
Today we also went to the Monterrey Rayados stadium!! Its super awesome and cool. They have a frase that they use that says 'En la Vida y en la Cancha' which means 'in the life and on the field'. It's something that the fans say to mean they are true fans, when they play and when they don't - they are always Rayados. I like it and that's why I titled this email like that. It means in the life and in the capilla. We should always strive to be true followers of Christ, not only in church but also in everyday life!!!

well i got to go! not much time today!
