If y'all didn't know - Mexico beat Germany! (Semana 42)

Martinez (the trainer of my trainer) came to visit!!
Ok, so just so that y'all know - Mexico beat Germany 1-0! Let's just say it was crazy here! The best part was when the hermano giving his talk in church was reading a scripture from his phone when he got a noticia. He just stood silent for like 20 seconds then finally said "Goal Mexico...". It was so funny and you could tell people were holding their excitement in. I just hope they keep it up!!! VIVA MEXICO!!
I don't have much time to write today because we have cambios tomorrow and my companion has to pack. Speaking of cambios I'll be staying here in Santa Rosa for another 3 months and I'll be training a new missionary again!! Woohoo!!
This past week we had a pretty good week! We were able to start teaching Delia again and she was able to go to church with us so that was awesome!! We also were able to bring Miguel with us! Miguel is a young dude in his 20s that has so much faith. We have been talking with him for awhile and he is progressing really well! He is just a cool dude!
We also received some pretty sad news this past week. One of our investigadores, Perla, lost a son this past week. She is really sad and needs help and a lot of prayers! She told us that she is going to keep going forward and rely on God in these difficult times. She is so awesome and has so much faith!! I'm glad that I was able to share my testimony with her that there is life after this life and that she would be able to see here son again. I know that is true and she was able to know and feel that too.
This week was also a super cool week because an old friend came to Monterrey.  Muciño!!! For those of y'all that don't remember Muciño was an elder in my district back in my first area who had already went home. He was up here visiting and we were able to meet up with him and do some visits with him. So awesome! I have missed that dude!!

Well that's it folks, I've got to go!

Holy Pink (Semana 41)

its starting to heat up.
What is up y'all!! How's everyone doing?? Como les ha ido??
This week was a pretty average awesome week out here in Holy Pink (Santa Rosa for all y'all English people) . So I don't have a whole bunch of time and I don't have much to say so I'll just give some highlights with a couple of videos. Ok so to start off the week on Monday after writing home we had a noche de hogar with la familia Sanchez and Richie and after we had a carne asada. It was pretty dope because we were just outside chilling when a mariachi just shows up at the party in front of the house. Mexico is super awesome jajajaja.
So this past week we worked on trying to help the people that we've been teaching progress and gain a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Its been going pretty great. We had a cool lesson with Osvaldo and are trying to help him receive his personal testimony. He is a pretty great dude and is making a bunch of changes in his life! (oh and he made us some hamburgers, so that was cool!)
This week we also had intercambios with Muy and Melgar. I went with Melgar to their area and we did some  work! We were able to find quite of few new people to teach and invited one of their investigadores to baptism! It was such a fun day! We ended it by walking back home through the market and eating some ice cream! 10/10 day!
Well nothing else super crazy has happened. Oh well, we did have a problem with an investigadora. Her dad didn't want her to get baptized or listen to us anymore so he took her to his house one day out of the blue, We were super sad because she was so awesome and she loved the church! She was also super excited to be baptized! But everything happens for a reason and we are hoping and praying she can come back this next week!
Oh and La familia Ponce invited us over for some chili dogs this week so that was a plus!
Well I got to go y'all!

Just want to leave this with y'all. I shared it with a couple of you but I really love this thought that I had when I thought about the mission and service. There's one thing I have come to see here in the mission, how much you come to love those you serve. When you serve you are filled with charity, or the pure love of Christ, and it is just the most amazing feeling ever. Not focusing on yourself and just helping others. I just love it!!! There is a scripture that says "that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." (Book of Mormon, Mosiah 2:17) and it is so so true! I love serving!

(thick) Boyz 2 Men (Semana 40)

Yo yo yo!!! How is everyone been doing?? How's the weather been treating y'all?? l I've been doing great here and the weather is getting pretty hot, thanks for asking. Mexico is super lit and I am loving every bit of my time as a missionary!!
This week was a pretty normal week of work but a  good one! To start of the week we had a pretty solid district meeting with a pretty great training by an ok district leader. I focused a lot about Christ and how we personally come unto Him and how we help others come unto Him. It turned about pretty cool so I was pumped about that. We then had intercambios and I went with Muy, who goes home in 2 weeks, to their area. We did some work there and got a few shades darker so it was definitely a good time. We ended the day sitting on the roof, eating ice cream sandwiches, and talking about post mission life. We ended up just chilling up for like an hour. We then ended the intercambios and went back to work.
We've been teaching some really great people as of lately and they are all so awesome! We are teaching this one girl named Delia who is pretty cool and loves the church and has such a strong testimony! We are also teaching a lady named Perla and her 4 kids. They are pretty amazing and Perla is super excited to get baptized. She was able to go to church yesterday and she loved every bit of it! She made a bunch of friends and is super stoked to go back! We also got to do some service for her on Saturday and cut her lawn...with machetes because that's how we do it down here. I was hecka sore and about 5 shades darker.
Today was our actividad de zona and we had a blast! We played some capture the flag and a bunch of basketball!!! We had a pretty dope team going and we were killing it. Our team name was Thick Boyz 2 Men jajaja. It was a me, Young, Wadsworth, and Littlefield with a cool hermana, Solis. It was pretty funny 'cause all the elders were pretty big (hence THICK Boyz 2 Men jaja) and the hermana was tiny. We were killing it though so thats all that matters. We ended the actividad eating some Piratas (really delicious things here) and taking pics.
Well, that has been my week, pretty boring I know. We'll see what happens next week, but in the mean time be a part of something great!!

“Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.”
