:) (Semana 61)

Whats happening folks!!!! How all y'all doing!! Down here on the border we are killing it!!!
We have been working a lot with Coral, Dulce y Agripina the 2 sisters and the grandma of Cervando. When we went with them on Monday night we asked them all how they felt at Cervando's baptism and they all replied to us that they wanted to be baptized.  It was such an awesome lesson and they are preparing for baptism next Saturday!
We also had a pretty busy week talking with anyone and everyone...and when i say everyone I mean just about everyone (except for the malitos with walkie-talkies or guns). We have been really trying to talk with everybody about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can really bless their lives! Doing this really paid off because we found a bunch of super awesome people and quite a few families that are starting to listen to us.  That's one really hard part as a missionary sometimes...having to talk with complete strangers. But after some time it gets easier and you actually start to like it. I have met so many awesome people and have been blessed to be able to help them too.
Mexico is pretty awesome and I love it here in Nuevo Laredo! It's kinda like living in an action film because you really see so many cool things on a daily basis! Like big trucks with polarized windows driving by really fast, drug deals on every corner, guys throwing guns, and a lot more...so yeah, super lit!!! I love it here honestly!!!
Well I have got to go y'all!!

Out Here Grinding!! (Semana 60)

What's Up Y'all!?!
All is well here in Nuevo Laredo! We are having a blast on the border. Elder Diaz and I are working hard!  We are finding a bunch of new people that are progressing really well, teaching a lot a of investigadores that are loving the gospel and have the desire to follow Christ. We are seeing a lot of success in our area and in the Zone.
This week we had the baptism of Cervando!!! A super awesome teenager that loves the church. He has had a huge change in his life! It was so awesome to be able to teach him and be there for his baptism. The cool part was that his mom had never listened to us but saw this huge change in Cervando and went to his baptism and his confirmation.  It was great!!!
We also had our Zone Conference this past week and I had the chance to conduct it. It was pretty cool to have a chance like that. Elder Diaz and I also had to give a training to teach the zone and help them get better in some aspects. Its always really weird to do the training because I feel like I'm probably not the best but I was able to learn a lot and really rely on the spirit of the Lord.
Well I honestly don't remember what else happened this week.  It's been a busy one but we did find some really dope people as we followed the promptings of the Holy Ghost and hopefully this week we can help them progress.  Its so important that we rely on the Spirit as a missionary because it will help in all we do.  Leads you to the people that you need to talk to, Serve the people that need your help, and keep you out of danger...which is super important here in Nuevo Laredo jaja.

Well I got to go!!
If anyone has any questions or anything to say just hit me up!

Super Duper Fun Week! (Semana 59)

Well this was one awesome week y'all!!!! Let me tell y'all why!
On Monday we headed down to Monterrey for a leadership training which was super fun cause I got to see some familiar faces like Schenck, Delcid, Gillen, Gibson and Hernandez! We had a great time down there and we learned a lot to bring back up to Nuevo Laredo (we also grabbed a campechana jaja).
This week Maria Antonia was baptized! She was super ready and really wanted to be baptized. She was actually really sick the day of her baptism and we asked her if she wanted to wait for next week but she said no and that she wanted to do it as soon as possible. So we went to church and she was baptized on Saturday. It was such an awesome experience to witness!!
We are also teaching an awesome grandma named Agripina and her grandkids. They are loving the church and the gospel and are really changing a lot in their lives. This next week we are hoping for her baptism and also her grandson Servando. They are super awesome and I'll let you know how it goes next week!
One exciting thing that happened this week that made my heart skip a few beats was when we were going on bikes by the railroads and we passed by four trucks and SUVs and we just started hear guns being loaded and radios lol. They said "Que honda elders?" (whats up elders) and so we were just like "yo hows it going?" and then we left super quick. So yeah we just saw some cartel dudes switching guns and they were super chill with us lol! I love Nuevo Laredo!
We have also been really focusing on using the Book of Mormon whenever we can, whether it be in contacts or lessons. It is such an amazing book and I know that it's true! I invite all of y'all to read the Book of Mormon! Ponder on its words, and pray to know if it's true!!

well I got to go!!

Conferencia General!!! (Semana 58)

Well I have no time to write because in like 30min I have to catch a bus and head down to Monterrey for a leadership meeting,
Ok so this week Elder Diaz and I have been killing it out here. We are working tirelessly everyday and we are starting to see the fruits of our labors. We had a bunch of people come to church with us this past week to watch the conference with us.  We also are super excited for this next week because Maria Antonia is going to be baptized and she is super ready.
We are also teaching a family that are super awesome and that want to go to church with us every Sunday and they are super ready for baptism! They are amazing!! I'll tell y’all more next week.
So the thing that I really liked from this conference was a theme I saw in a few talks about taking upon us the name of Christ. We take upon us the name of Christ when we are baptized and choose to follow Him. We must always be worthy of His name and always act like He has. We are always trying to be like Him and that is my invitacion for all of y’all!!  That we all try to be like Jesus!

Well I got to go...sorry

Cambios! (Semana 57)

Viva Mexico!!!!!
Whats up folks!? How's it all going?? Everything is going pretty great here in Nuevo Laredo!
We had transfers and I am going to be staying here in Nuevo Laredo but in a different area as zone leader so this is gonna be fun!  I don't have that much time to write so I will keep it a little short with the highlights from the week!
This week we found and awesome señora named Lupita. We found her sitting out side her house one day while looking for someone else. She is this really cool older lady that just recently lost a daughter to cancer. We shared a quick message with her and she invited us back. We were able to come back and teach her and help her paint her fence. She even made gorditas for us that were super good! She is so awesome and hopefully can progress!
We also had a huge stake activity this past week. It was the Noche Mexicana! We brought some people with us to enjoy the activity and to get to know the church a bit and while we were there we found 2 families that want us to teach them, it was so cool!!
This week we also had the chance to go on visits with some of the youth here in the ward. We went with Artemio and Miriam to visit Jorge and it was such an awesome lesson. We talked about the plan of Salvation and how it's a plan of Love that our Heavenly Father has for us so that we can return and live with Him again with our families.  After the lesson we went out with them to contact and they did awesome contacting! It was a great experience and funny!
Well, I got to go, like I said, short on time!
