Nuevo Laredo....basically Texas (Semana 52)

Howdy Y'all!!!!
Well this was quite a weird and awesome week!! On Tuesday Alfaro, Norman, and I hopped on a bus for 3 hours and headed off to Nuevo Laredo! It was quite a change to tell y'all the truth. It’s a little bit hotter and lot flatter here so that’s fun jaja.  We also have bikes!! Woohoo!!
So Alfaro and I got here and opened the area, which means we literally know absolutely nothing...our area, the members, the investigadores (well we didn’t have any lol,), how to get to church, or anything, but little by little we are learning our way around and finding people!! It is a great experience and going to take a lot of work but we've got this!!!
We actually are already seeing miracles here!! On Saturday we found a really awesome family of less active members and their kids who aren’t members! It was really cool and they are pretty awesome! We taught them all and invited them to be baptized and they said yes!! So we are gonna be working with them a bit this week!! Then last night we had another awesome experience!! We were walking home (bc our bicis broke down) and this super awesome couple pulled up and gave us a ride to their house because they live by us. They invited us in and gave us some tamales and wanted to listen to us! They were super nice and said they have been trying to put God first in their lives right now! It was such and amazing experience and we are really excited to keep teaching them and being their friends!
There are a lot of good things going on for us here in Nuevo Laredo and we are gonna do all we can!!! We are just gonna trust in the Lord and do our part!!!
Well I got to go...we are about 30 minutes from our house and on bikes.  We have to be in the house by 8 p.m. nightly lol.

ps. So its basically like I am in Texas because all the cars have Texas plates, people speak English, and I can use dollars instead of pesos...so yeah its crazy. Oh and I'm like 15 mins from the border.

Bautismos y Cambios!!! (Semana 51)

carne asada with DSKANK
Well this has been one crazy week to say the least!!!!
To start off we had a great week of working, finding and teaching a bunch of people and inviting them to come unto Christ! But the best days of the week were Friday-Sunday!  I'll just explain it day by day really quick because I don't have that much time today.
Friday- We had such an amazing thing happen. That morning, Jhovanny and Yoseline got married!!! It was actually so cool and we got to go to the wedding!! They were so happy and cute!! Then after the wedding I went on intercambios with my bro Elder Schenck!! Its was so lit!! We got to the mission together a year ago and we just got to work together! We worked hard and ended the day with a carne asada!
Saturday- Sammy got baptized!! Alfaro and I were teaching him back in Santa Rosa but we got transfered out right before his baptism but we were able to go back for him!! It was so awesome to see him again!! Such a great kid!
Sunday- Jhovanny got baptized!!! He was finally able to be baptized this week and it was so amazing!!! He was so ready and has such a strong testimony and is so smart!! Love that guy!
Also on Sunday we got some transfer news. Alfaro and I are going together to Nuevo Laredo!! Which is on the border of Texas!! I'll be like 6hrs from home lol!! I am looking forward to see what work we can do up there!! I'm excited and up for the task knowing that the Lord will help me!!

HOLAAAA! (Semana 50)

que tranza?!??! whats up guys???
Well this week was quite an awesome week full of work and fun and intercambios!!! So we started off the week with some intercambios with elder Pererya coming with elder Arias and I. It was hecka dope!!! We started off by eating cake and drinking coke as a district because it was elder Ac's birthday. We then went with another family to let pererya say bye to them because he baptized them and they also gave us more cake and more coke so that was awesome and we were super full jajaja but its all good we worked it off talking to a bunch of people and teaching some lessons...but then we gained it back with some campechanas in the night jajaja.
We also had more intercambios with Schcenk and Matamoros on Friday and we did some pretty great work! We also had a pretty great activity that night playing soccer with the youth and our investigadores!! We also ended the night with some trompoburgers and chiles jajaja.
Well yesterday we had a really awesome night! We first went to dinner with one of the coolest families ever. We then went out to visit some people. First a member came with us to visit one of his nephews that wants to get baptized! We were able to teach him a pretty great lesson and he is super excited to be baptized!! We were then about to go home because it was late but I had a feeling to go to one more house. So we knocked the door and this super awesome dude opened the door and lets us in. Turns out he just got married and his wife is a member of the church. She told us that she had been praying for the missionaries to come because they are new in the area and she wants her husband to listen to us and he told us that he wants to be baptized! They also said that their goal is to be sealed in the temple in a year!!! It was so crazy and awesome!!! So we are gonna work with them this week and we will be busy!
Also in my studies I was reading a verse that I really like in the Bible in 1 Juan 4:7-8 about love.
"Amados, amémonos unos a otros, porque el amor es de Dios. Todo aquel que ama ha nacido de Dios y conoce a Dios.
8 El que no ama, no conoce a Dios, porque Dios es amor."
I love this verse because it talks about how we must have love in all that we do. I have really come to love the people that I have met here in the mission both the people I teach, my companions, the kids in the street we play soccer with, and even the drunk guys that sing all night!

well I got to go!!

adios santa rosa, hola treboles (Semana 49)

Howdy Y'all!!! Que onda!!

Well this week was a super interesting week to say the least...I started off in the best ward ever, Santa Rosa, and ended up in the awesome branch Treboles. It’s kinda sad because I love Santa Rosa and the people there (especially la familia Sanchez) but I am definitely going back to visit after the mission!
We started the week out really  great. On Monday we had a pretty great cita and noche de hogar with la familia Bautista and it was super fun. Then a family invited us to dinner at like 8:45 so we went real quick and had a really delicious dinner with them. On Tuesday we had a pretty normal day with a district meeting and lessons and a really awesome Family Home Evening with Filo and Janeth and La Familia Sanchez and we talk about the Plan of Salvation, and the plan the God has for us is a plan of LOVE!! It was super great and fun!! This was all in Santa Rosa...
Then on Thursday our life got flipped, turned upside down jaja. SO the assistants called us at like 7:50am and told us we had an hour to pack our bags and go to the house of the Zone Leaders because we have Special Transfers and that both of us would be going to Treboles with Elder Arias in a Trio. It was super hard to hear because I love Santa Rosa and I wasn't even going to say goodbye to the people there or be there for the people I was helping come unto Christ. But everything happens for a reason and I know that everything will be great here in Treboles.
Here in Treboles I am currently training my first comp, Elder Alfaro, and finishing the training of Elder Arias too...something that has never been done here in the Monterrey Mission. An elder training 2 new missionaries. Oh and I am also District Leader of one of the biggest districts in the mission...we are 10 people. But this is the dopest district I have ever been in and we are killing the game out here in Apodaca. Setting and reaching our goals and we know how to Work Hard and Play Hard. For example today we had the opportunity to go to the center of Monterrey and it was so awesome!! We went as 10 missionaries just walking the streets of Monterrey Mexico!
So yeah that’s was a part of my very, very interesting week here in the mission...I just trust that I am where I need to be when I need to be and I am going to work my butt off here!!!

well I got to go!!!
