Divisones!!! (Semana 86)

HEYYY Y'ALL!!!! Well today is Saturday and its P-day because we have the changes this next week and I'll be super busy so I won't be able to talk on Monday. I also don't have that much time to write  now so I'll just say what's up real quick. This week we have had a bunch of divisions...like 4. On Tuesday we worked with elder Walgren y Elder Chi which was pretty fun. We found some dope people and taught some good lessons. The next day we had divisiones with some super awesome Elders, Schofield and Hernandez (who goes home with me). We balled out and contacted some awesome ricos up in the mountains. Then after that we did some quick divisiones with our district leader which was cool. We got a bunch of work done and we are finding some really awesome people these days. Then yesterday we went down south to Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon. I worked with my dude Elder Garrido, who goes home on Wednesday. We had a blast! We went out to a little pueblito while we were there and to get there we had to wade across a river so yeah it was sick! The pueblito was literally just a little ranchito but it was so so fun!!! so yeah I'll write more in a few weeks!

Easter! (Semana 85)

Whats up y'all!!! How's it going?
So it is going super well here in Monterrey. We are just out here working hard and loving life!
This past week was Semana Santa, or the Holy Week. Everyone was remembering the Atonement of Jesus Christ. As you celebrate Easter this year, remember how Jesus Christ changed history that first Holy Week. BAPTISMS!

We also had the opportunity to have the baptism of Aylin, Edson, and Jared Lara! It was so amazing! They were all so ready and so happy for their baptism. Their family is coming back to the church and they are so awesome! I love this family so much! We are helping them to go to the temple this month or next so that they can keep progressing as a family until they get to the Celestial Kingdom!
We are gonna keep working hard this week to help more people come unto Christ! I honestly love being here. I love helping others. These are honestly some of the best times of my life and for my life!!!

working hard, playing hard and praying harder (Semana 84)

What is up y'all??? I'm doing absolutely great out here in MTY!!! We are just out here working hard and helping others! 

This week was a pretty solid week of work. We found an awesome family this week with some of the best people I have ever taught. They are 2 kids, one has 9 and the other has 8. We talked with them and their older sister in the street and we told them we were going to pass by the next day. We gave them a little booklet to read and we left. The next day we went to visit them and they had read the booklet and even wrote down the questions they had! They understood almost everything that they had read!! We taught them a little bit more and how to pray then left. We went back two days later and the little boy who has 9 had taught his whole family how to pray.... it was so cool! We are gonna keep helping them and see what happens.

We also are going to have the baptism of the family Lara this Saturday! It's gonna be super awesome! I love this family and its been such an awesome experience helping them come back to the church and help their kids be baptized! The ward is helping a lot and we are so so excited for this week! 

This is one of my favorite scriptures and i just happened to be reading it this week, its Moroni 10:32

 “Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.”

I love that it invites all of us to come unto Christ. Its that simple. Its not easy, but its simple. And as a missionary I am here to to help other come unto Him!  I am really honestly super happy for the opportunity I have to be here its the most fulfilling experience that I have every had in my life! Its so exhilarating!! Love you all have a great week!

HEY!!! (Semana 83)

What is up my peeps!!!!

Well this week has been super awesome!!! We finished up the zone conferences and had leadership council which was great to see all the new zone leaders and get to know them better. We also had some productive intercambios with my dudes from nuevo laredo, elder gutierrez and elder norman. I love those guys! I've had more than 10 intercambios with my dude norman during the mission and its been so lit! He's a real bro. 

This week we've been working a lot with the Lara family and their 3 kids are going to get baptized next week which is so amazing!!! I love this family and love seeing them growing closer to our Heavenly Father!  We are also working with Maribel and her family. They went to church a few weeks ago and watched General Conference and they like it a lot!! 

I loved the chance that we had to listen to the Prophet and Apostles speak this past weekend in conference. I honestly learned so much and feel strengthened. We have been invited to do better and be better. We need to have a more Christ centered life.  As missionaries we have the amazing privilege to work daily in the Lord's vineyard with Him, to help all come unto Him. Elder Uchtdorf reminded us this weekend we ALL have this sacred responsibility to share what's in our hearts with others about why Jesus Christ is important in our own lives and invite others to come and see and learn for themselves.  I'm so grateful I am a missionary and can share the good news of the Gospel!!  Have a great week!

Conferencias!!! (Semana 82)

Well this week we have been SUPER busy!!! Well, that's just about like every week nowadays.

So this week we had the chance to go to 4 zone conferences and do some training which is always so much fun. It was really awesome to see all my old friends and make some new ones. That's the cool part about going all over the mission, you get to meet a lot of people! We've been talking a lot about the importance of the Book of Mormon and the impact the it has on the lives of others. It's honestly one amazing book that truly is the word of God.

This week we also had divisions with our zone leaders and I went with my dude Elder Blanchard. It was a blast because I was his first zone leader when he got to the mission.  We worked pretty hard and invited a few people to baptism and they accepted!! We ended the night with some campachanas because he has never tried them before.

We also got to go to Nuevo Laredo for their zone conference and I was able to see an awesome family that I found and taught while I was there. It was Jenifer, Macario, and Adrian! They all got baptized and I was able to congratulate them!!

This next week will be filled with conferences as well! We have another zone conference tomorrow, then on Friday a leadership council and on Saturday and Sunday is the General Conference! It's going to be so awesome to listen to the words of the prophet and apostles.  I'm so excited to listen and learn.

Well that's all I got for this week. We are just gonna work hard everyday all day and help as many people as we can!!!
