So this past week was super fun and really
exhausting!!!
Alright so to start things off we had intercambios with
Elder Padilla, Elder Benitez, and Elder Taylor. I got to go to Villas de San
Miguel with Padilla and Benitez and it was pretty dope. I got to check on the
progress of them and they are both doing great. They are super awesome
missionaries. We also met a new friend named Juan...he's a narco. He told us a
bunch of stuff and showed us his gear and it was awesome and just a
little scary at the same time. But it's all good cause he assures us he's
our friend and if anyone is bothering us or does anything we just need to tell
him and they got us covered. Apparently, there was a shootout a few
nights ago between them and the marines that he was not afraid to admit that he
was a part of.
On Wednesday Elder Diaz and I headed down to Monterrey to
stay the night and be ready for the Leadership council the next day. The
council was super chill and I got to see some old friends (some that are about
to go to their home but were new to the mission when I got here lol). We talked
about our callings and how to have success in our zones as well as everyone
having their own personal conversion. All in all a pretty solid council.
Afterwards we went on divisiones with the Assistentes which was super dope! I
love working with them because they are so funny and we are all pretty good
friends. I went with Elder Riches, super awesome elder from California which
i'm gonna hit up at BYU. We taught a few people and talked to so many more! It
was awesome! At night it was a party with Garrido, Riches, Diaz, and I. We ate
some Little Cesars and Elder Garrido taught us some MMA (he was a pro fighter
before the mission) and he straight up killed Elder Diaz jajaja. It was so
funny. The next morning Elder Diaz and I hopped on a bus for 4 hours to get
back up here to Nuevo Laredo to grind!!! And grind we did! We taught some great
lessons and found some really awesome people and 6 of these people went to
church with us and all of them have a baptismal date and are preparing to enter
into this covenant with God!!!! It's so awesome!!!
I know that this is the path that God has given us to
follow! To have faith in Him and repent. To be baptized and receive the Holy
Ghost by someone who has the authority to do so and most importantly, endure to
the end. Press forward with Faith my friends!!!
Well thats all i got folks!
les amo y les extraño
con amor
